Welcome to the River Queen . . .  The River Queen has long been considered one of the premier riverfront vacation rentals in West Sonoma County. A true Riverside Estate originally built in 1930, the River Queen is a unique blend of old and new. Antique furniture features in both Great Rooms and all five bedrooms. Sleeping areas throughout the estate include three upper and two lower bedroom suites, accompanied by five and 1/2 baths. Vintage accents are balanced with modern conveniences in all the right places including new appliances, marble counter tops in both the upper and lower kitchens; Cable Smart TVs; and Wi-Fi. The house has more than 5000 square feet of living area.

The River Queen is located within minutes of the town of Monte Rio which includes shopping, riverfront dining, and the Northwood Golf Club; an Alister MacKenzie designed nine-hole golf course. Just a few miles further down the road heading east you will find hiking trails and picnic options in Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, while heading west the Russian River meets with the Pacific Ocean just a fifteen  minute drive away. The River Queen is both graceful and comfortable. With its many amenities, it is the ideal location for a family reunion, multi-family vacation, work retreat, or friends getaway. The main entry is on the upper of two levels. 

The upper level boasts a massive great room with over sized couches and chairs, backgammon table, large stone fireplace and a 70” flat screen TV with surround sound. The large easy-to-work-in main kitchen with a new six-burner gas range and modern refrigerator shares a granite counter-top with the large eating area which has a 10-foot-long plank dining table that can seat up to 12 people. An enclosed sun porch overlooking the back decks and the Russian River – with three separate seating areas – runs the length of the great room and the dining area. There are three bedrooms on the upper level – each with its own bathroom. The primary bedroom has a king bed and overlooks the Russian River. The middle bedroom has a queen bed with forest views. The corner bedroom has a king bed and overlooks the entry courtyard. 

The lower level has two separate bedroom suites. The first suite, capable of sleeping four people, has a king bed with an anteroom of two twin beds and a private bathroom, each room with views overlooking the Russian River. The second suite sleeps three people with one queen bed and an anteroom with a daybed, each room with views overlooking the Russian River, with the bathroom located just across the hall. Also on the lower level are another full kitchen, wood-stove insert, pool table, flat screen 65" TV. Off the lower level Great Room is the recreation room with a Ping Pong table, Foosball table, half bath, and a queen fold out couch.

The grounds offer grassy areas for activities such as horseshoes and corn-hole. There are two seating areas – one near the seasonal creek, the other situated riverfront surrounding the fire pit. Three large Redwood decks offer multiple levels with both seating and dining areas, and includes a full-sized hot tub set in a fairy ring of majestic Redwood trees. Concrete stairs lead directly down to the Russian River with a seasonal concrete dock. In-season kayaks, a canoe and inflatable flotation devices are available for your enjoyment.
