Pinniped Monitoring Volunteer Training – March

WHERE: Jenner Visitor Center (across from the gas station)
10451 Hwy 1 Jenner, CA 95450
Meet at the Jenner Visitor Center, in Jenner, across from the gas station at 8:30AM on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
From there we will head North to the Jenner Overlook.
THIS LIVE TRAINING IS PART TWO OF THE FEB. 24, 2023 PINNIPED TRAINING CLASS.

Pinniped Monitoring Program volunteers collect data to ensure the protection of harbor seals during Russian River estuary activities as they pertain to mandated work required by the Sonoma Water for the Biological Opinion and to be in compliance with a Marine Mammal Protection Act Incidental Harassment permit. Data provides valuable information on the status and health of the harbor seals who use Goat Rock State Beach as a resting and pupping area.
